The local theatre in the Frisian village of Kollum had sold out for the first night of Piter Wilkens' new show, It fûgeltsje yn myn gitaar ('Little bird inside my guitar') These little birds are the songs of the Dutch troubadour Cornelis Vreeswijk, translated from Dutch and Swedish into Frisian by Piter. He was accompanied by his brother Sytse Wilkens (double bass) and by Rik Meijer (guitar). Piter opened the evening solo with a few of his own songs, after the break he presented the songs from his new CD.
