Nynke Laverman - "De Maisfrou"
Open air concert Riis, 22 June 2007

About 500 guests visisted the 'garden theatre' in the Frisian village of Rijs (Netherlands), where Frisian singer Nynke Laverman played her last show of the Mexico-inspired 'Maisfrou' ('corn woman') series. The musical arrangement of the two concerts of tonight and tomorrow had been expanded with additional musicians. A drizzling rain caused a late start on the first night, but after some big umbrellas had been brought in to protect the instruments, the show could start. On the second night (tomorrow) recordings will be made for a DVD to be released scheduled for somewhere the end of this year.
