Mondo Leone - Greatest Hits - The Parade (Amsterdam) 15 August 2006

Leon Giesen is the man behind Mondo Leone, "film maker, musician and story teller" as his website informs us. That description is quite apt as Leon demonstrates on tonight's performance at The Parade. Using movies that are displayed all around him, he is accompanying himself in different ways on each one of this creative songs. The sold-out tent responds enthusiastically to this mini-show.

Leon is proud that his song Naakt En Kaal (Naked and Bold - "I can't get used to the fact that this must be me") has been coverted into a cartoon by the famous dutch designer Joost Swarte.

Leon's songs are little stories, this one about a scrapbook from the twenties.

Barry is his Fender bass guitar for which he threw a birthday party.
