An Pierlé & White Velvet - CD presentation at the Royal Circus theatre
(Brussels, Belgium) 5 May 2006

A smashing performance at the Royal Circus theatre in Brussels. This venue gave a bit of an official atmosphere to this evening on which, also officially, the new album was presented (An Pierlé & White Velvet). The audience responded enthusiastically to old familiar songs like Helium Sunset and Sing Song Sally, and curiously listened to the new songs. (See the bottom of this page for a full setlist.) Three background singers (the girls from Belgium group Mrs Hyde, introduced by An as "The Velvettes") and a group of strings were specially added for tonight's concert.

The Canadian group Final Fantasy, with Owen Pallett on violin, opened the evening as the support act. Owen's music has medievial ingredients that were reinforced by light projections displayed on the scene's background.

Dominique Vantomme (keyboard) introduces the new song Snakesong.

"I haven't got the sense - to say sound things - nor profound things"
An climbs on her piano while singing Sister

Paris S'Eveille closes off the evening.
