An Pierlé & band - open air theatre Rivierenhof
(Deurne/Antwerp, Belgium) 16 July 2005

Helium Sunset: the apocalypse

The concert took place on a Saturday summer night and was not completely sold-out; that's too bad because it turned out to be a fabulous and energetic gig with lots of new material (nothing was played from Mud Stories). All in all, a great concert in the beautiful open air theatre "Rivierenhof", Deurne (Antwerp, Belgium).

The musicians of Satellite City opened the evening at eight o'clock and performed some up-tempo songs for half an hour or so. Sioen was next, but the songs and their amplification were too loud in my opinion.

In the next 80 minutes, An Pierlé and band played the following titles:

  1. Cold Winter *
  2. I Love You *
  3. Tenderness *
  4. As Sudden Tears Fall
  5. Mexico *
  6. Medusa
  7. Helium Sunset
  8. My Old Behaviour **
  9. Build A Better Life
  10. Sing Song Sally
  11. Kiss Me
  12. Sorry
  13. Sister

    Encore:

  14. Poor Danny *
  15. Nobody's Fault
We were lucky to be treated to lots of new songs (*), some of which I have given a temporary title (**), lacking official information.

Behind a curtain of fountains the stage is set up for An who can be seen standing at her piano.
